Sterilization and Filtration Technology
In today’s regulatory-conscious industry aseptic techniques such as heat sterilization and sterile filtration play a critical role to ensure that production processes are free of cross-contamination. Understanding sterilization concepts and processes ensure that a biopharmaceutical drug product meets its predetermined quality attributes. In this course trainees will learn the principles of industrial sterilization and filtration techniques, their applications in drug manufacturing, and recent technological advances. The course is structured with a strong emphasis on hands-on experience in our Bio-Pilot Lab where students will be exposed to real-world problems of sterilization, aseptic processing, process analytics and economics.
